The final studio of the undergraduate architecture program at Northeastern University was a comprehensive studio taught parallel to structures and building systems courses.
The culmination of the studio was the design of a printing and publishing facility. The program includes an industrial production area and creative office spaces each with their own environmental and structural requirements.
In addition to structure and building systems, site analysis was a critical component of a successful proposal. Wind and solar analysis informed the building orientation, programmatic layout and passive strategies.
