Mio

completed 2021

Mio is a market-rate transit-oriented development in Weymouth, MA. This 237-unit development is located within walking distance of an MBTA commuter rail station, which provides express service to Boston’s South Station during morning and evening commutes.

TOD up-zoning allowed for a reduced parking ratio, increased FAR and ground floor retail space. The site plan embraces the opportunity to create a pedestrian-friendly mixed-use frontage between the MBTA station and Main Street / Route 18.

Sixty percent of the dwelling units are studio and 1-bedroom units. Research suggests the development will fill a need for smaller households with members who need daily access to Boston but value coming home to a small town.
