Urbanism Starter Kit
published 2009
The Urban Design Starter Kit was conceived as a design aide for third year urban design students at Yale University. The book is a reference for the planning of new urban districts and for test-fitting development parcels. The prototypes represent typical programmatic and constructional determinants that frame North American building conventions.
The building types are truly prototypes in that they invite customization, whether it is a reshaping of the floor plate or a site specific treatment to the ground floor program.
A variety of building typologies were prototyped to illuminate opportunities and challenges of development within an urban context.
The Urbanism Starter Kit was published in 2009
